From Medicine to Media
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Dr. Victor Odunlami's journey spans continents and careers. His passion for drama began in childhood, performing with Nigerian Television Authority. As a university student, he became born again and joined Gospel on Stage (G.O.S.) — a Christian drama group where lives were touched and transformed through faith-based performances.
After qualifying as a doctor and moving abroad, Victor pursued his medical career for nearly three decades, including 17 years as a psychiatrist, believing his drama days were behind him. But years later, a casual conversation rekindled his passion.
Reflecting on his own words — "I actually enjoyed my time in G.O.S. more than studying medicine" — he realised that God's call on his life through drama was still alive. That spark led to the birth of Dunamis Productions, and from that vision came Hope Cathedral — a creative blend of humour, faith, and everyday life that reflects the challenges and beauty of walking with God.
